Experienced Lawyers to Argue ACA Case

The Supreme Court will hear one hour of oral arguments starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday on the health care lawsuit, King v. Burwell.

The attorney arguing for the challengers is Michael Carvin of the Washington office of Jones Day. He may be a familiar legal star to many — he argued part of the previous challenge to the constitutionality of the health care overhaul law and argued on behalf of George W. Bush in the 2000 election Florida recount.

The attorney arguing for the challengers is Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. He successfully defended the health care law in the previous challenge, despite criticism of his performance during the oral arguments.
