Dog Cuddles and More at Volunteer Capitol Hill Fair
Want to help make a difference? Consider stopping by the Volunteer Capitol Hill volunteer fair Saturday to learn about different ways to get involved in the Capitol Hill community.
In its third year, the fair is the perfect place for people to sign up for volunteer opportunities, and to network with organizations in the area. There will also be music and dogs in need of a good snuggle, courtesy of Rural Dog Rescue . The fair features roughly 40 organizations seeking to help with social issues such as, among other things: homelessness, food sovereignty, education, child or elder care, environment, or four-legged friends.
The fair will be held at the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital (921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) from 10 a.m. to 1 pm.
