A month after first laying eyes upon her official portrait, Rep. Louise M. Slaughter was expected Monday to finally join the former leaders silently watching over the House Rules Committee.  

The New York Democrat, who led the debate-shaping panel in the 110th and 111th Congresses, got a sneak peek at her commemorative pose in late April.  

According to a Slaughter aide, the grinning visage has since been formally mounted and will be on full display Monday evening, when pols make their way up to the third floor of the Capitol.

“I’m standing like this [grabs her jacket lapels] and it’s sort of like, ‘Move over guys, I’m comin’ up on the wall,’” the 15-term lawmaker explained a few weeks back to current Rules Chairman Pete Sessions of the self-confident stance portrayed in the painting.  

“It is an awesome, awesome portrait,” the Texas Republican chimed in.
