Ahead of a series of votes on “fast-track” trade legislation, Speaker John A. Boehner took to the House floor Friday to rally support ahead of early afternoon votes. “Today the best idea is to vote yes,” Boehner said. “Not for the president, not for ourselves, but for our kids and our grandkids. Now I know some members of this body don’t like Trade Promotion Authority, some don’t like Trade Adjustment Assistance, but today I’m here to vote for both, because it is the right thing to do.”
