NRCC, DSCC Tops in June Fundraising

House Republicans’ campaign arm raised $400,000 more than its Democratic counterpart in June, according to figures provided to CQ Roll Call.
The National Republican Congressional Committee raised $7.3 million last month and had $15.4 million in the bank at the end of June. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $6.9 million in the same time frame and ended the month with $14.4 million in cash on hand.
Both committees are debt-free going into 2016, when Democrats intend to chip away at the GOP’s 30-seat House majority.
On the Senate side, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raised $1.6 million more than its Republican counterpart. It brought in $5.6 million in June, while the NRSC raised just more than $4 million.
The DSCC reported $8.9 million in its war chest at the end of June, with $10.3 million of debt. The NRSC had $6.5 million in the bank and no debt.
Senate Democrats hope to net the five seats necessary to ensure a majority in 2016.
