John D. Dingell is back in the hospital and will undergo a heart procedure. He tweeted about it Tuesday afternoon:
The 89-year-old Michigan Democrat was admitted to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit on Monday, according to the office of Debbie Dingell, his wife, who succeeded him in Congress.
“Mr. Dingell is resting comfortably under doctor’s care and is his usual feisty self. Congresswoman Debbie Dingell will be in Michigan this week,” the statement said.
Dingell was first elected in 1955, the same year as Roll Call’s founding, before retiring at the end of the last Congress.
