House Backs Petition to Advance Ex-Im Bank Renewal

The House voted Monday, 246-177, to discharge the Rules Committee from further consideration of a rule that would provide for debate on renewal of the Export-Import Bank. The vote is the first step in a rarely used procedure designed to bring a measure to the floor.The House would next have to vote on the rule before it could proceed to a vote on a bill that would renew of the Ex-Im Bank.
