Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz celebrates his 45th birthday Tuesday, the perfect time to hit folks up for some campaign cash.

In a campaign email from his wife, Heidi, supporters were asked to sign a birthday card for him. The email adds, “in honor of his 45th birthday — chip in $45 to help him become the 45th President of the United States.” According to his presidential campaign , Cruz raised $1.1 million in 22 hours after the CNBC debate in October. The average donation was $54.

The Texas Republican was a senator for only 27 months before launching his presidential campaign in March 2015. In the first sixth months, the campaign raised $26.5 million, it announced in October .

“Ted’s sacrificing a great deal and putting tremendous effort into running a winning campaign,” the email reads. “But, to win, he needs to hear from you — I know a personal birthday message from you would absolutely make his day.”

If elected, Cruz would be the first president born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
