Obama: ‘Sense of Urgency’ Needed on Gun Violence

In the East Room of the White House Tuesday, President Barack Obama announced his plans for taking executive action to beef up gun control, saying the U.S. needs to feel a “sense of urgency” on gun violence. “Instead of thinking of how to solve the problem, this has become one of our most polarized, partisan debates,” Obama said.
