President Barack Obama shed tears as he delivered remarks on gun violence Tuesday, recalling the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., in late 2012. “Our inalienable right to life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness, those rights were stripped from … first graders in Newtown. Every time I think about those kids it gets me mad,” Obama said, wiping away tears. “And by the way it happens on the streets of Chicago every day.”
