Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., welcomed a granddaughter Wednesday morning, Rose Barbara Capito.  

Rose is the senator’s fourth grandchild and the daughter of the senator’s oldest son, Charles.

She was born in Washington, D.C., and Capito spent the morning with the baby and not on the Hill.  

Fellow freshman Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., responded on Twitter, “Congratulations, @SenCapito! Being a grandparent is the best job in the world.” Perdue has three grandchildren.
