Criticizing a lack of “strategy” on how to defeat the Islamic State in President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address, Rep. Charlie Dent, R-Pa., said many members of Congress are prepared to pass an Authorization for Use of Military Force. “But we’re not going to grant one that places all sorts of operations controls on his successor,” Dent added. “More important than the AUMF at this point is the strategy to not only degrade but defeat ISIS.”
