Purple Heart Winners — Soldier, Dog — Reunited

The Daily Mail (UK) reports that “a US Military specialist and his work dog have been reunited three months after an improvised explosive device (IED) injured them both in Afghanistan in December.”

“Specialist Andrew Brown of the 89th Military Police Brigade and Sergeant Rocky, his military dog, were awarded Purple Hearts after being injured but were separated while they both underwent therapy.

“But this week the pair were reunited in Bethesda, Maryland – and while his pelvis and tail had taken a whack, Rocky’s love for his human war buddy was clearly as strong as ever.”
