Democratic Rep. Filemon Vela of Texas has had enough of Donald Trump, telling the presumptive Republican nominee on Monday to take his border wall and “shove it up your ass.”  

In an open letter  to Trump, Vela, a Mexican-American, said he agrees with the billionaire mogul on the need to curb violence and the drug cartels along the U.S. border with Mexico.  

“However, your ignorant, anti-immigrant opinions, your border wall rhetoric, and your recent bigoted attack on an American jurist are just plain despicable,” he wrote.  

Vela noted that Mexico is a vital trading partner and many Americans of Mexican descent have served in the military.

Vela criticized Trump for referring to Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is overseeing a lawsuit involving Trump University, as a “Mexican” and for calling on Curiel to recuse himself.  

Trump has also been criticized by some Republican senators for the remarks.  

Vela ended his letter by saying he did not claim to speak for undocumented immigrants, all Mexican-Americans or all citizens of Mexico.  

“But I am sure that many of these individuals would agree with me when I say: ‘Mr. Trump, you’re a racist and you can take your border wall and shove it up your ass,’” he wrote.
