Democrats may have more Graysons to kick around with Rep. Alan Grayson’s daughter running for local office.

Star Grayson, who is 18, is running for a seat on the Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

One of the younger Grayson’s opponents was concerned that she was running to put the congressman’s last name on the ballot more than once as the older Grayson runs for Senate and his wife, Dena Minning Grayson, runs for the House seat he will vacate.

“My daughter has a keen interest in protecting the environment and public service,” Grayson said by email. “I’ll support her in that effort or in whatever passions she chooses to pursue.”

Grayson is running in the Democratic Senate primary against Rep. Patrick Murphy to decide who will challenge Republican Sen. Marco Rubio.

But Grayson, long a favorite of the left, has faced steep opposition from the Democratic establishment and Senate Democratic leaders want him to drop out amid allegations he abused his ex-wife.
