In a letter to the FBI, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid expressed concern about a direct link between Russia and the Donald Trump campaign.

The Nevada Democrat wrote to FBI Director James B. Comey that he had learned of video evidence of an individual with ties to Trump and his top aides claiming to be in communication with WikiLeaks, which posted numerous documents that Reid said had been obtained by Russia.

In his letter, Reid said recent intelligence briefings have made him concerned that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “goal is tampering with this election.”

“The prospect of individuals tied to Trump, WikiLeaks and the Russian government coordinating to influence our election raises concerns of the utmost gravity and merits full examination,” he wrote.

The news comes in the wake of revelations that foreign hackers penetrated election systems in both Arizona and Illinois.
