Trump Gives Himself an A for Achievement, C for Messaging
President tells ‘Fox and Friends’ his team hasn’t explained accomplishments well
President Donald Trump said Tuesday he has achieved much in his first month in office, but he and his staff have not explained his accomplishments to the public very well.
In an interview with “Fox and Friends,” Trump, who is notorious for talking about himself and his accomplishments in superlatives, was asked how he would grade himself in the first month of his administration.
Trump initially said he would give himself an A-plus in terms of effort but said results are more important.
“In terms of messaging, I would give myself a C or a C-plus,” he said.
When asked why, Trump said he would give himself an A in terms of achievement.
“Because I think I’ve done great things,” he said. “But I don’t think I and my people, I don’t think we’ve explained it well enough to the American public.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Trump said he thought former President Barack Obama was possibly behind protests and demonstrations and that Twitter allows him to get around the “dishonest media.”
