Rep. Eric Swalwell was confused for actor Jerry O’Connell during Monday’s House Intelligence Committee hearing.

The high-profile hearing over Russian meddling in the 2016 election attracted a lot of casual viewers who pointed out the resemblance between the actor and the congressman.

O’Connell tweeted followers after people confused him for the California Democrat during the hearing with FBI Director James Comey, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Swalwell tweeted his apologies for the mix-up, saying “I got more out of that than you did.”

The actor suggested they make a TV appearance together, which Swalwell appeared to be down with.

Could be a bromance in the making.
