Actors Christopher Gorham and Alyssa Milano took the words “voter drive” literally as they drove people to vote early for Democrat Jon Ossoff in Georgia.

But Republicans said the celebrities’ volunteering in an out of state race was an example of how out of touch the Democrat is with the district.

The duo drove around Georgia’s 6th Congressional District to canvass around neighborhoods and give voters rides. They tweeted a phone number for people to call so they could pick them up.

Democratic activists have poured cash into the race to replace Tom Price, who was picked by President Donald Trump to be secretary of Health and Human Services. Election Day is April 18.

A recent poll showed Ossoff in a virtual dead heat between Ossoff and the top four Republican candidates in head-to-head matchups. Most observers expect the race to go to a runoff in June between Ossoff and the Republican winner.

Maddie Anderson, regional press secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee, hit the campaign for using two celebrities who don’t live in the district.
