President Donald Trump invited former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to dine at the White House and she brought Ted Nugent and Kid Rock along.

The one-time running mate to Sen. John McCain, whose military service Trump insulted in 2015, met with the president and took photos in the Oval Office.

“Asked why I invited Kid Rock and Ted Nugent I joked, ‘Because Jesus was booked,’” Palin said on her website.

Nugent apparently brought an American flag guitar for the president either as a gift or to sign, and Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, took a photo with press secretary Sean Spicer.

The group also took photos in front of Hillary Clinton‘s official First Lady Portrait. Nugent once infamously called Clinton a “worthless bitch” onstage the same night he told Barack Obama to “suck on my machine gun.”

Both Kid Rock and Nugent have been suggested as potential Republican candidates against Michigan Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
