Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey Jr. is calling for the Department of Homeland Security and President Donald Trump to halt the deportation of a mother and son to Honduras.

Casey later said he had talked to White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus on the phone about the deportation, and the he would “hold him accountable to do the right thing.”

Casey took to Twitter to explain the story of the mother and her five-year-old son, who are being held at a facility in Berks County. Casey explained that the child is possibly eligible for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.

Despite the danger, Casey said that the mother and child are being sent to Honduras today.

Casey said he had received a photo of the son and a note saying the boy had “nowhere to go.” Casey said he had already called Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and asked people to tweet to the Homeland Security Department’s twitter to help.

Casey also made a personal appeal on Twitter to President Donald Trump.

Casey also explained his immigration bona fides, saying he has voted for securing the U.S.-Mexico border.

Casey later tweeted that he had spoken to White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
