Speaker Paul D. Ryan addressed a packed House chamber on Wednesday following a shooting at a GOP congressional baseball practice in Virginia. Ryan praised the Capitol Police officers who were wounded on the scene, Krystal Griner and David Bailey. He also quipped that Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who was wounded by gunfire, was “likely really frustrated that he’s not going to be able to play in the baseball game.”
