Democratic Sens. Jeff Merkley and Sheldon Whitehouse joined freshman Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick for the 4th-annual “play-in” rally across the street from the U.S. Capitol, an event sponsored by advocacy group Moms Clean Air Force to fight pollution and urge curbs on fossil fuels.
