The Senate voted Tuesday to proceed with debate on a health care overhaul bill, but not without the help of Vice President Mike Pence, who cast the tie-breaking vote, or Sen. John McCain, who flew into D.C. for the vote just days after being diagnosed with brain cancer last week. Here’s a recap of the day in the Senate.
