McConnell Announces Former Sen. Pete Domenici’s Death on Senate Floor

Former Sen. Pete Domenici died Wednesday morning at age 85, which Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced to the Senate chamber. “He had a long and notable career,” McConnell said. “One that took him from pitching on the baseball diamond, to teaching mathematics at an Albuquerque junior high school, from city politics to the U.S. Senate.” [ ]
