Texas Democrat Again Calls for Trump’s Impeachment on House Floor

Rep. Al Green on Wednesday called for President Donald Trump to be removed from office during a speech on the House floor, citing his “demonstrable record of inciting white supremacy, sexism, bigotry, hatred, xenophobia, race-bating and racism.” He announced his intention to bring up the articles of impeachment in a fiery speech, but later backed off actually introducing the articles as a resolution. This is not a first for a member of Congress against Trump — Rep. Brad Sherman drafted articles of impeachment earlier this year. Green also called for impeachment in May — which sparked death threats — but he said then that his stance is “a position of conscience for me.”
