Shortly after President Donald Trump tweeted on Tuesday that he doesn’t “see a deal”with Democrats for a year-end spending package, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer announced they would not be attending a previously-scheduled meetingwith the president later in the day. See Schumer’s remarks on the Senate floor about his decision to skip the meeting.
