Members of both parties in the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly Friday to table articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

The final vote was 355 in favor of a motion by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy to table the articles of impeachment against the president. Only 66 Democrats voted against the motion.

This was the second time Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas pushed for articles to impeach Trump

Previously, Democratic leadership including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer stated their opposition to it.

Illinois Rep. Cheri Bustos, who represents a district Trump won, said the vote was damaging to members like her who represent swing districts.
