Cochran Bids Goodbye to Senate After Nearly 40 Years Representing Mississippi

Republican Sen. Thad Cochran, the senior senator from Mississippi, was elected to his seventh term in 2014 but will resign on April 1 due to health issues. Always a behind-the-scenes negotiator, Cochran was reserved and brief even during his final speech to colleagues from the Senate floor.
