Trump More Like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, Liberal Polling Group Asks
Question included as part of larger health care poll

A liberal polling outlet celebrated Star Wars Day by asking if President Donald Trump is more like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader.
Public Policy Polling, a liberal polling outlet based in North Carolina, conducted the surveys for the Health Care Voter coalition for a number of crucial races.
The polls were done for Colorado’s 3rd, Florida’s 18th, Iowa’s 3rd, Maine’s 2nd, Pennsylvania’s new 1st and Michigan’s 6th Districts. There were also two statewide polls for Nevada and Tennessee.
Run by Tom Jensen, Public Policy Polling is known for throwing the occasional oddball question to people being surveyed.
The group asked, “Do you think President Donald Trump is more like Darth Vader or do you think he is more like Luke Skywalker?”
Each of the polls showed a plurality thought Trump was closer to the Sith Lord than the Jedi Knight in the Star Wars saga.
The polls were released May 4th, which is known as Star Wars Day, since it sounds similar to the film’s line “May the Force be with You.”
Democrats are hoping to show that Republicans are vulnerable for voting to roll back the 2010 health care law last year.
Democrats are also looking to beat Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada and pick up Tennessee’s Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Bob Corker.
There was no question on whether people thought “The Last Jedi” or the prequels were good.
