Rep. Jerrold Nader, D-N.Y., interrupted a House Oversight Committee hearing to speak about the “zero-tolerance” immigration policy — which has led to families being separated at the border — that President Donald Trump’s administration is enforcing. Elsewhere in the Capitol, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, also weighed in on the policy on the floor, while Senate Chaplain Barry Black contributed a prayer to the mix.
