Sens. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., and Chris Coons, D-Del., asked on Thursday for a vote on a resolution supporting the intelligence community and their assessment that Russian interference occurred in the lead-up to the 2016 election. GOP Majority Whip John Cornyn objected to considering the measure. Flake, anticipating resistance from leadership, had said earlier that he plans to continue attempting to bring up the resolution.
