New Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer brought Roll Call politics reporter Simone Pathé to Jimmy T’s diner a few blocks from the Capitol, heralding the hole-in-the-wall eatery as reminiscent of the many diners in his home state. “There’s nothing obnoxious and fancy, or stuffy, about a diner,” Gottheimer said, comparing the unpretentious air of a diner to what he calls “New Jersey values.” Inside Elections with Nathan Gonzales rates Gottheimer’s race for New Jersey’s 5th district as Solid Democratic.
