Flake Pleads With Senate: Don’t Make Up Minds Before Thursday’s Kavanaugh, Ford Hearing

Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake warned his colleagues in a speech Wednesday on the chamber floor that “we have lit a match” by pre-judging Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court ahead of Thursday’s testimony by Christine Blasey Ford. He discussed Ford and Kavanaugh both as “human beings,” and said he will assess their testimony as it happens on Thursday — not before.
