President Donald Trump called Senate Democrats efforts to derail Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation process a “con job.” “I’d love to be in the room with the Democrats … [Minority Leader Charles E.] Schumer and his buddies are all in there laughing how they fooled you all,” Trump said at a news briefing Wednesday night. Trump also responded to a question, asked by NBC News, that it’s possible that he would withdraw Kavanaugh’s nomination if he “thinks” the judge is guilty of sexual assault allegations that have been made in recent weeks. Christine Blasey Ford, one of three accusers, will give testimony at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday about her allegations of sexual assault.
