Senate Republicans Talk Leadership Team and Special Counsel Protections

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell introduced the new Senate leadership team for the 116th Congress on Tuesday. Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst will be serving as the first woman in Senate Republican leadership in almost a decade. McConnell also reiterated his stance that there is no need for additional protections for special counsel Robert S. Mueller III in the wake of the firing of Jeff Sessions as attorney general last week.
