Democrats downplay appearance of disunity on Green New Deal

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Edward J. Markey introduced a resolution Thursday to advance the goals of the so-called Green New Deal, a progressive overhaul aiming to curb the effects of climate change. Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she had not yet read the resolution, but that she welcomes her caucus’ enthusiasm.
