Trump: ‘I was never a fan of John McCain and I never will be’

President Donald Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that he “was never a fan of John McCain” after a series of recent tweets critiquing the Republican senator, who died in August. Trump said Tuesday that McCain’s vote against the GOP’s 2017 efforts to repeal and replacethe 2010 health care law is just one reason for his dislike of the longtime Arizona lawmaker.
