Check out DC’s cherry blossoms in peak bloom this week

Washington’s iconic cherry blossoms are in peak bloom starting Monday, April 1, according to the National Park Service. Locals and tourists swarmed to the Tidal Basin Monday for picnics and selfies with the cherry trees, a gift from Japan in the early 20th century.
