“The NATO alliance is not only the longest lasting alliance in history. It is the most successful alliance in history,” said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, before members of Congress stood up to give him a third standing ovation.Despite current tension between U.S. and fellow NATO member Turkey, Stoltenberg’s remarks were met with enthusiasm on Congress’ most high-profile stage.
