Eric Swalwell is running for president, here are some congressional basics

There is no shortage of Democrats running for president this cycle, with California Rep. Eric Swalwell becoming the ninth sitting member of Congress to announce his candidacy. One of Swalwell’s biggest platforms is gun control — he proposes to ban and buy back every assault weapon in the nation.
