Rolling through one last time: Views of the final Rolling Thunder rally

Every Memorial Day weekend Sunday since 1988 has witnessed cruisers roaring through the streets of D.C. One of the world’s largest motorcycle rallies took over the district every year in support of prisoners of war, veterans, and service members missing in action.

However, Rolling Thunder’s organization leader, Artie Muller, has said this is the last rally. Costs are too high and the logistics of this event are too complicated to continue, the Vietnam veteran announced in December.
