Friday the fur-teenth
Nats Park will host Pups at the Park on Friday, which is a great excuse to spend some time with your dog — or if you don’t have a dog, to go out and adopt one. Proceeds from the dog ticket sales will be donated to the Humane Rescue Alliance.
Who says Friday the 13th has to be unlucky?
Weekend winedown
The National Union Building on Saturday will play host to the D.C. Wine Fest. From noon to 10 p.m. amateur sommeliers can sample wines from all over the world and listen to live music while trying a variety of food.
Taste the world
This Saturday, before watching the Atlanta Braves destroy the Washington Nationals, pick up a ticket for the pregame International Food Festival. Food and beverage samples from participating embassies will be available as well as a Nationals cookbook with recipes from Vince Navarette, the team’s senior executive chef.
