Sen. Charles E. Grassley joined tens of thousands of his fellow Iowans in Ames over the weekend at the state’s biggest rivalry football game between the University of Iowa and Iowa State University.

The game was the focus of ESPN’s “College GameDay” and marked the first time the show was broadcast from ISU’s Ames campus. During a Senate floor speech Monday, Grassley talked about his experience tailgating Saturday, which involved talking with Iowans about “ethanol, biodiesel & trade,”  and watching the game.
