Privacy, one roadblock to government funding

It was clear representatives from the National Security Agency and the Department of Justice didn’t do their homework before appearing in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.

The contentious hearing, on the reauthorization of the 2015 intelligence surveillance law known as the USA Freedom Act, was  filled with exchanges ranging from refusal to answer simple yes-or-no questions, to Utah Sen. Mike Lee wondering whether the committee needed to hold monthly hearings on the matter.
