“Thank you Senator Sanders for coming to my show, making my whole night and for all that you stand for !” The “Into You” singer said in her tweet.
Sanders, a Vermont independent seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, showed his appreciation for the rendezvous at Grande’s show in Atlanta.
I want to thank @ArianaGrande for not only being a wonderful entertainer, but also for being such an outstanding advocate for social justice. We must all be prepared – like Ariana has shown – to fight for everyone who is struggling. It was great to meet her in Atlanta last night. pic.twitter.com/gZTPSLLywX

“I want to thank @ArianaGrande for not only being a wonderful entertainer, but also for being such an outstanding advocate for social justice.”
Sanders is no stranger to high-profile celebrity endorsements. Grande joins the ranks of notables including rapper Cardi B., Brandi Carlisle, Jason Mraz, Steve Aoki and Miley Cyrus who have voiced past support.
Grande’s announcement came just hours before the fifth Democratic presidential debate in Atlanta where Sanders is set to take the stage.
