Members of Congress came together on Tuesday night to perform in the first annual Congressional Record concert, a musical event meant to convey the importance of arts education and the funding for it. But the bipartisan camaraderie didn’t spill over into the rest of the workweek, as lawmakers, tasked with funding the government amid the looming election, returned to their squabbles.
