The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has reported spending over $12 million on lobbying of the executive and legislative branches of government during the third quarter. The Chamber is usually the organization spending the most on lobbying each quarter. The U.S. Chamber lobbies on a wide range of issues that are detailed in the third quarter filing. The $12,160,000 spent in the third quarter is lower than the $13,970,000 spent during the second quarter. The Chamber spent $10,140,000 in the first quarter of 2013, and $29,510,000 in the fourth quarter of 2012 - a time period that included the November 2012 general election.
