House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) announced a number of staff additions and transitions Friday, including the hiring of Ed Cassidy to serve as a senior adviser in his leadership office. Cassidy most recently served as then-Chairman Doc Hastings (R-Wash.) top aide on the House ethics committee and previously as Hastings’ chief of staff in his personal office.

Other new staff additions to Boehner’s shop include Outreach Director Bill Greene, who most recently served at the Energy Department; policy adviser Erika Heikkila, formerly of Rep. Mark Souder’s (R-Ind.) office, policy adviser and counsel George Rogers, who most recently served as general counsel to then-Rules Chairman David Dreier (R-Calif.).

Don Seymour, meanwhile, has been promoted from press secretary to deputy communications director, and Adrian Sferle has joined the office as a floor aide. Sferle most recently worked as deputy press secretary at the House Resources Committee under former Chairman Richard Pombo (R-Calif.).
