Pennsylvania: Meuser’s Self-Funding Doubles Hackett’s Level

As of Monday, Meuser had dumped $1.42 million of his own wealth into his campaign. Chris Hackett, who owns and manages OneSource Staffing Solutions, had put in $742,300 of his own money into his bid.

Hackett has been endorsed by the Club for Growth, which could be a key source of funds in the campaign’s final days.

The winner of the April 22 GOP primary will face freshman Rep. Christopher Carney (D) this fall. Carney was the first Democrat to win the seat in 30 years in 2006, when then-Rep. Don Sherwood (R), a married man, became embroiled in a scandal surrounding allegations that he had strangled his girlfriend.
